Jesus: Our Shepherd and Gatekeeper | John 10
Jesus doesn’t just lead the sheep. He guards the gate.
In John 10:1–15, Jesus reveals Himself as both the Good Shepherd and the Gate. He makes it clear that how we enter into relationship with God matters and that there is only one true way in. Jesus Himself is the entrance, the protection, and the source of life.
This message explores:
Why where you enter matters
Jesus’ declaration: “I am the Gate”
The contrast between the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and Jesus who gives abundant life
The difference between a hired hand and the true Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep
Jesus knows His sheep by name. He doesn’t abandon them in danger. He stands in the doorway, guarding, protecting, and giving rest.
Hearing God’s voice begins with knowing Jesus.
Entering the fold begins with trusting Him.
Jesus is calling at the gate.

Can You Hear His Voice? | John 10:2–5
In a world full of noise, distractions, and competing voices, how do we recognize the voice that truly leads us?
Jesus describes Himself as the Good Shepherd in John 10:2–5. He enters by the gate, calls His sheep by name, and leads them out. The sheep follow not because they are forced, but because they know His voice. They trust Him. They recognize Him. And they refuse to follow a stranger.

P2000 vs GTX 1650

In this video, I explain why the Quadro P2000 works reliably with FFmpeg on servers, while the GTX 1650 often doesn’t, even though both support NVENC on paper.
The difference comes down to FFmpeg build versions, NVIDIA driver support, and NVENC generation compatibility.
Older, long-term FFmpeg builds (commonly used on servers) include NVENC support that aligns cleanly with Pascal-based GPUs like the Quadro P2000. These builds expect earlier NVENC APIs that are still fully supported by workstation drivers, making the P2000 stable in headless and always-on environments.
The GTX 1650, however, is based on Turing, and NVENC support for it depends on newer FFmpeg builds and newer NVIDIA drivers. On many servers, especially Windows Server and LTS Linux systems, those newer combinations either aren’t available or aren’t stable. The result is FFmpeg failing to initialize NVENC, silently falling back to CPU encoding, or refusing to start altogether.
This is why the P2000 “just works†in server pipelines, while the GTX 1650 often requires driver workarounds, newer FFmpeg builds, or desktop-class OS tweaks to behave properly.
